Lahai Health is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our medical team as we care for those who are underserved in our local communities. The role of the ARNP at Lahai Health is instrumental in delivering cost‐effective, timely, and high quality health care services for the underservedpatients who utilize Lahai Health services. The ARNP is responsible for ensuring the medical care provided to Lahai patients is consistent with Lahai standards for quality care, and that the appropriate level of care is delivered in a timely manner.

This is a part-time position, Non-exempt, Part-Time 25hrs a week, $40-$50/hour DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide Direct Patient Care:

  • Obtain medical histories including past medical conditions, family, and psychosocial history as well as current problems.
  • Perform physical examinations
  • Order laboratory tests as indicated, in a cost-effective manner.
  • Assess and diagnose symptoms, routine laboratory tests, and other physical examination findings.
  • Treat illnesses
  • Prescribe medications
  • Formulate patient management plans or referrals, as indicated.
  • In collaboration with Lahai partners, refer patients for lab tests, imaging, and specialty care.
  • Perform gynecological examination, treat sexually transmitted diseases (STD), and provide contraceptive information, instruction, and management.
  • Promote improved health care delivery and social programs.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries to provide medical care advice.
  • Maintain patient electronic medical records including the recording of findings, diagnosis, treatment, and patient concerns.
  • Serve as the primary contact for patients’ medical concerns on an as-needed basis when outside of clinical hours.
  • Serve as the laboratory contact to address unusual labs that need urgent evaluation and referral to urgent or emergency care.
  • Serve as a primary contact to support and provide necessary authorization for Nurse Case Management activities
  • Support Clinic Director by way of consulting on Policies and Procedures, writing Standing Orders and answering medical questions

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Agreement and Support of Lahai Health’s Statement of Faith.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) professional license and valid Registered Nurse Washington State license.
  • Maintain continuing educational state and certification requirements.
  • Maintain current and valid CPR training and BSL certificate.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Primary Care Provider
  • Experience in community health or public health setting.
  • Demonstrate strong connections within the Puget Sound health care community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills (Word, etc.).
  • Comfortable creating and implementing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Good judgment in establishing priorities and problem solving
