I appreciate that quote from our former President, because his statement is not only true about American healthcare – it’s absolutely true about the work of Lahai Health. Without our team of caring, professional nurses, our ministry would immediately grind to a halt.
Next month, from May 6th through the 12th, America observes National Nurses Week. For all of us who are part of the Lahai family, it’s an ideal opportunity to express our gratitude to the phenomenal nursing professionals of Lahai who do so much to care for our patients.
Across the U.S. today, there are nearly 5 million registered nurses and some 325,000 licensed nurse practitioners tending to the medical needs of patients just like you and me. What better time than National Nurses Week to salute the exceptional nursing professionals who provide frontline care for Lahai Health patients week in and week out? I am extraordinarily proud to acknowledge their pivotal contribution to Lahai, and I know you feel the same.

Most Lahai nurses serve as Nurse Case Managers, providing direct patient care and referring patients for lab tests and further treatments. They also help ensure that our patient’s other needs are met, including support for housing, food, and basic social services. All this is at no cost to the patients the Lord brings through our doors. However, each appointment does have a cost associated – and that’s where you come in.
These interactions between patients and Lahai Nurse Case Managers represent one of the greatest bargains in health care. The average cost per appointment, after including community support grants, is $60.
