Medical Volunteer

To serve patients in need throughout King and Snohomish Counties, we depend on a diverse group of volunteers for each weekly clinic (mobile or fixed site). Below, you can find descriptions of the unique roles where certified volunteers can serve.

Volunteers typically sign up to serve 1-2 times monthly for a 5-hour shift during a clinic’s operating hours. We offer self-scheduling so you can choose the opening and location you would prefer. We ask for a one-year commitment from volunteers and provide training specific to the position, including: Patient Confidentiality (HIPAA), Blood-borne Pathogens, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.

If you are interested in volunteering with Lahai Health, please fill out an online application form.

Mobile Medical Clinic Drivers

Our mobile medical clinic drivers transport our MMC (mobile medical clinic) between clinic sites. You can volunteer to drive to just one or all of our locations. Drivers need to be comfortable driving large trucks, have a current Washington state CDL Class B or Class A driver’s license, and have a great driving record.

A scribe allows the provider to give high-quality care and attention to the patient diagnosis and treatment plan while optimizing the provider’s efficiency and productivity. Scribes are not permitted to make independent decisions or translations while entering information into the health record, beyond what is directed by the provider.
